Eleanor was born in 1322 in Grismonde Castle,Monmouth. Eleanor's father was Henry Plantagenet and her mother was Maud or Matilda de Chaworth. Her paternal grandparents were Edmund "Crouchback" Prince England [EARL OF LANCAST [EARL OF L and Blanche D' Artois [QUEEN OF NAVARR [QUEEN OF. She had a brother and three sisters, named Henry of Lancaster, Joan, Maud and Mary. She was the youngest of the five children.
