William was born on January 17th, 1908 in Portrico,Jasper Co.,MO. William's father was William Marcus Pierson and his mother was Leora Mae Harrison Coffee. His paternal grandparents were John Moneta Pierson and Clarissa Sarah Herriman. He had five brothers and three sisters, named John Thomas, Oris Delbert, Herbert Clifton, Dearl O'Keith, Edward T., Martha Ellen Coffee, Violet Velma and Mildred Mae. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Claude L., Cash C., Carl and baby. He died at the age of 80 in 1988 in Grand Junction,Mesa Co.,CO.-
