Rhys was born in of Tyllech,Llanfihangel Cru,Monmouthshire,England. Rhys' father was William |ap Dafydd| Morgan and his mother was Jane Herbert. His maternal grandparents were William Herbert "Tew" and Miss Miss Baskerville. He had two brothers and four sisters, named John, Dafydd, Miss, Miss, Miss and Margred. He died in 1587.General Notes
