Giles was born about 1506 in of Black Friars,Newport,Monmouthshire,England and his baptism took place in {Cydifor Fawr}. Giles' father was William Morgan Sir Knight and his mother was Florence Brydges. His paternal grandparents were Thomas ap Morgan Sir Knight and Jane Herbert. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John, Andrew, Henry, Thomas, Morgan ap, Margred, Anne, Alice, Mary and Florence. He was the third oldest of the eleven children. He was buried in ,Llanfarthin,Monmouthshire,England.General Notes
