Pleasant McQueary 
Pleasant was born on March 27th, 1798 in Reddies River,Wilkes County,NC. Pleasant's father was William McQueary and his mother was Nancy Ann Shepherd. His paternal grandparents were John Macquarrie and Miranda Stout; his maternal grandparents were Robert Shepherd and Sarah Rash. He had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Allen, Jesse, William, Humphry, Polly, Sarah, Rebeccah and Nancy. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 50 in November 1848 in Pulaski County,Kentucky.-
