Andrew was born on November 4th, 1800 in Reddies River,Wilkes County,North Carolina. Andrew's father was John McQueary and his mother was Nancy Shepherd. His paternal grandparents were John Macquarrie and Miranda Stout; his maternal grandparents were John James Shepherd Sr. and Sarah J.-------. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Morgan, John, James, Martin, Sarah (Sally), Lucy and Elizabeth. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He died after 1860 in Russell County,Kentucky. He was buried in No more knowledge of him.-
