William Herbert 
William was born in of Dol-y-cors,Gwnnws,Cardiganshire,Wales. William's father was Morgan Herbert and his mother was Margred ferch Rhys. His paternal grandparents were Richard "Ddu" Herbert Sir Knight and Miss Miss ferch Dafydd. He had two brothers and a sister, named Richard, Thomas and Elen.
