Rhys' father was Henry Herbert Sir Barone and his mother was Anne Vane. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Herbert Sir Barone and Lucy Alexander. He had six brothers named Humphrey, Henry, Richard, Charles, George and Lionel. He had three half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Henry I, Henry II, Thomas, Lucy, Margaret, Anne, Theresa and Mary. He died after 1701.General Notes
