Susanna was born about 1725 in Bath Co. (Present Day Cleveland Co.),NC. Susanna's father was George , Jr. Hamrick and her mother was Susannah Blanton. Her paternal grandparents were Hans Jerg Hamrick and Nancy Cook; her maternal grandparents were George Blanton and Elvira Lee. She was an only child.
‌Susanna and William David were married in a religious ceremony in 1748. They had a daughter named Priscilla Jones.
