Joseph Gentry 
Joseph was born on January 5th, 1776 in Surry County,North Carolina. Joseph's father was Samuel Gentry and his mother was Agnes Brooks. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Gentry and Agnes Shelton. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Matthew, James, William, Agnes and Daughter. He was the second oldest of the six children. He had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named George, Shelton, Thomas, Arthur, Nancy, Sarah (Sally), Susannah and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 80 in 1856 in near Narrows,Kentucky. He was buried in Petby Gentry Cemetary Narrows,Kentucky.-
