Manervia Ann was born on May 11th, 1815. Manervia Ann's father was John Cunard and her mother was Comfort Cannon. Her paternal grandparents were Edward Cunard and Judith Hirst; her maternal grandparents were Jesse Cannon and Frances Hardesty. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Columbus, John , Jr., Mathias, Frances N., Jumina, Eveline, Mary, Matilda and Nancy. She was the oldest of the ten children. She had four half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Elbert, Newton, Henry, James Clark, Susan A., Eliza Jane, Sarah Ann, Caroline and Marthena.-
