Clemence of was born about 1180 in Bourgogne,France.1   Clemence of's father was Guillaume II 'the Great' Count of Burgundy and Macon and her mother was Stephanie of Longwy.  Her paternal grandparents were Raymond I Count of Burgundy and Judith (Elena, Eleanor) of Normandy; her maternal grandparents were Adalbert III Count of Longwy, Duke of Upper Lorraine and Clemence de Foix. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Stephen Count of Vienne, Raymond of Count of Castile, Galicia, Coimbra and d'Amous, Ermentrude De, Sibylle (Mathilda) of and Gisele of.  She was the youngest of the six children.  She died in 1133.1 


Clemence of's family with Godfrey I 'the Bearded' Duke of Brabant and Lower Lorraine

‌Clemence of and Godfrey I 'the Bearded' Duke of Brabant and Lower Lorraine were married in a religious ceremony about 1121.  They had a son named Joscelin.
