John Fitz was born in 1348 in Arundel,Sussex. John Fitz's father was Richard Fitzalan Earl of Arundel Earl of Ar and his mother was Eleanor Plantagenet. His maternal grandparents were Henry Plantagenet and Maud or Matilda de Chaworth. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John of Arundel, Richard Fitz, Joan and Alice. He was the third oldest of the five children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Henry III and Maud.General Notes
