William de Mohun. surnamed Meschyn, in the 12th Henry II [1166] upon levying the aid for marrying the king's dau., certified his knights' fees, de veteri feoffamento, to be in number forty, and those de novo, four. He confirmed his father's grants to the priory of Bruton and, like him, was buried there. He d. before the year 1202, and was s. by his son, Reginald de Mohun.
