Isabel De Clare 
Isabel was born in 1172 in Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, Wales. Isabel's father was Richard De Clare and her mother was Aoife Macmurchada. Her paternal grandparents were Gilbert De Clare and Elizabeth De Beaumont; her maternal grandparents were Diarmait Macmurchada and More O'toole Of Leinster. She was an only child. She died at the age of 48 in 1220 in Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, Wales. She was buried in Tintern Abbey.General Notes
Isabel became in ward to King Henry II and remained under the royal guardianship for the space of fourteen years, when she was given in marriage to William Marshal, who thereupon became Earl of Pembroke. Isabel de Clare, only child and heiress of Richard de Clare (surnamed Strongbow), Earl of Pembroke, and justice of Ireland, who had been under the guardianship of Henry II, was given in marriage by King Richard I to William Marshal.
