Jean was born on January 9th, 1684 in St Pierre, Ile D'orleans, Montmorency, Quebec.1   Jean's father was Robert Choret and his mother was Marie Madeline Paradis.  His paternal grandparents were Mathieu Choret and Sebastienne Veillon. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Ignace, Mathieu, Robert, Marie and Suzanne.  He was the youngest of the six children. He had four half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Francois Georges, Jean Francois, Joseph, Pierre, Gaspard, Marie Elizabeth, Marie Genevieve, Marie Jeanne and Marie Louise.  He died at the age of 74 on February 10th, 1758 in Quebec, Quebec.1

‌Jean and Jeanne were married in a religious ceremony on March 3rd, 1710 in St Famille, Ile D'orleans, Quebec.1   They had five sons and seven daughters, named Jean Baptiste, Jean Bonaventure, Jean Joseph, Jean Robert, Pierre Antoine, Angelique, Catherine, Francoise, Marie Elizabeth, Marie Josephe, Suzanne and Marie Angelique Josephe.
