William was born about 1165 in Arundel, Essx, England..  William's father was Earl William (le Breton) D'Aubigny and his mother was Maud de St Hilary.  His paternal grandparents were William D'Aubigny Earl of Arundel and Dutchess Adelicia de Brabant; his maternal grandparents were James St. Hilary Du Harcourt and Aveline de St. Hillary. He had a brother named William.  He was the older of the two children. He had three half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Richard, Richard, Richard of Hertford, Elana, Elana, Mabel, Aveline, Mabel and Aveline.  He died on March 30th, 1221 in Cainell, Latium, Italy.  He was buried in Wymondham, Norf, England..1 1 


William's first family with Mabel de Meschines

‌William and Mabel were married in a religious ceremony about 1189 in Cheshire, Cheshire, England.  They had five daughters named Isabel, Cicely, Nichole d', Maud d' and Agnes.
