Roger de was born about 1022 in Beaumont-le-Roger, Eure, Normandy, France.1 Roger de's father was Humphrey de Pontaudemer and his mother was Aubreye de la Haye. He was an only child. He died about 1094 in Sturminster Marshal, Dorsetshire, England.2 General Notes

The well-known Roger de Beaumont held Sturminster Marshal, Dorset, in1086; it descended to the counts of Meulan through Roger's eldest son,Robert count of Meulan. That Roger took his name from Beaumont is a partof the general history of Normandy. Robert was born in 1046 in Pont-Audemer, Beaumont, Normandy.3 He died at the age of 72 on June 5th, 1118 in Leicestershire, England. He was buried in Preaux, Normandy.3
