King of England WILLIAM I the CONQUEROR was born in 1028 in Falaise, Normandy, France.  King of England WILLIAM I the CONQUEROR's father was Duke of Normandy 6th Robert I the Devil of Normandy and his mother was Herleva (Arlette) Officer of the Household.  His paternal grandparents were Duke of Normandy 4th Richard II the Good of Normandy and Judith of BRITTANY.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 59 on September 9th, 1087 in Hermentrube, Near Rouen, France.
