Otis was born on February 28th, 1796 in Hardwick, Worcester Co., MA. Otis' father was John TERRY and his mother was Sarah RAMSDELL. His paternal grandmother was Lydia DILLES; his maternal grandparents were Joseph RAMSDELL and Mercy Delano PRIOR. He had six brothers and two sisters, named John, Renel, Revel, Sylvanus, Child, Child, Sally and Phebe (Phobe). He was the third youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 91 on October 31st, 1887 in Fairview, Sanpete Cty., UT. He was buried on November 2nd, 1887 in Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, Sanpete, UT.-
