Sarah was born in ST. MARY'S CO., MD.1 Sarah's father was Richard Shores and her mother was Mary Anna Hulse. She was an only child. She died after August 1st, 1794 in Loudon Co., VA.2 
Sarah and Joseph were married in a religious ceremony about 1745 in FAIRFAX CO. VA.. They had ten sons and three daughters, named John, Robert, Richard, Jeremiah, James, Joseph, William, Thomas, Walter, Jacob, Mary, Ann and Sarah.
