Col. Francis EPPES II 
Francis was born on November 19th, 1627 in HENRICO CO., VA.1 Francis' father was Col. Francis EPPES I and his mother was Marie PAWLETT. His paternal grandparents were John EPPES III and Thomazine Bankes FISHER. He had a half-brother named Francis. He died at the age of 51 on December 2nd, 1678 in Henrico County, VA.1 General Notes
Francis Epes was born in Kent in 1628, and brought to Virginia when achild. He was Captain of the Guard and Horse ofBristol Parish in1658; lived in Henrico where he was a justice in 1669; had amercantile importing and exporting in Bermuda Hundred, and was anagent for a London firm. His wife's last name was Wells,, by whom hehad one son, Francis. His second wife was Elizabeth, widow of WilliamWorsham. Elizabeth and Francis had Littlebury, Mary and William(III). Francis died in 1678 from an accidental wound, making anoncupative will, witnesses by William Randolph and Richard Cocke,Sr., naming son Francis as executor.
