Matilda was born in 1102.  Matilda's father was Henry I BEAUCLERC King of England and her mother was St. Matilda (Edith) CANMORE of Scotland.  Her paternal grandparents were King of England WILLIAM I the CONQUEROR and Matilda of FLANDERS; her maternal grandparents were Malcolm III (MacDuncan) CAENNMOR KING OF SCOTLAND and Margaret ATHELING (St.) the Exile. She had a sister named Matilda.  She was the older of the two children.  She died at the age of 65 on September 10th, 1167 in Abbey of Notre Dame des Pres, Rouen.1

‌Matilda and Geoffrey V The Fair were married in a religious ceremony on May 22nd, 1128 in Le MANS CATHEDRAL, ANJOU.1   They had a son named Henry II Curtmantle.
