Mary Ann was born on February 13th, 1842 in McDonough, IL. Mary Ann's father was Charles CRISMON and her mother was Mary HILL. Her paternal grandparents were George CHRISMON and Elizabeth HAGLER. She had five brothers and six sisters, named George C., James, Charles, John Franklin, Walter Scott, Marthajane, Esther Ann, Samantha, Emily Precinda, Ellen and Cynthia. She was the sixth oldest of the twelve children. She had twelve half-brothers and eleven half-sisters, named Alfred Charles, Ernest, Oscar, Joseph Benjamin, David, Herman Eugene, Charles "B", George Franklin, Oliver, Fredrick Wilcox, Herbert John, Carl, Josephine Louvina, Nettie May, Ada Amanda, Louisa Alexandria, Annie Eliza, Elizabeth, Mary Adeline, Clara Louise, Della Gertrude, Nellie and Annie Telula.-
