Juan Ignacio De La was born on July 31st, 1620 in Alegria De Oria,España. Juan Ignacio De La's father was Joanes De La Carrera Lapaca and his mother was Francisca De Yturgoyen y Amasa. His paternal grandparents were Joanes De La Carrera Castillon and Leonor de Lapaca; his maternal grandparents were Juan De Yturgoyen and Bartolina De Amasa . He was an only child. He died at the age of 61 on March 27th, 1682 in Santiago,Chile.
