brother, Wenceslas. Together they killed Ludmilla, his paternal
grandmother, and Wenceslas. Otto I. led a vast army into Bohemia, laying

a vassal king of a subject
Bohemia. Boleslav died, a guilty, unloved king, tortured by his own
conscience and the contempt of his
people.
