‌Elias and Tryphena were married in a religious ceremony about 1767 in Hartford, Hartford Co., Conneticut.¹   They had three sons and seven daughters, named Josiah, Elias, Horace, Asenath Hurlbut, Philomela, Tryphena, Chloe, Susannah, Almira and Amanda.
