ELEN (Helen) was born about 1206 in Caernarvonshire, Wales.1   ELEN (Helen)'s father was LLYWELYN "The Great" PRINCE de WALES and her mother was JOAN de ENGLAND.  Her paternal grandparents were IORWERTH DRWYNDWN KING de WALES and MARGARET de POWYS; her maternal grandparents were JOHN "Lackland" KING de ENGLAND and ISABEL (Heiress) de TAILLEFER. She had two sisters named MARGARET and ANGHARAD verch. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named GRUFFYDD (Lord de LLEYN) ap and GLADYS DHU.  She died before October 24th, 1253 in Chester, Cheshire, England.1
