Eleanor was born on June 8th, 1318 in Woodstock Palace, Oxfordshire, England.1   Eleanor's father was EDWARD II KING de ENGLAND and her mother was ISABELLA "The Fair" de FRANCE.  Her paternal grandparents were EDWARD I "Longshanks" KING de ENGLAND and ELEANOR (Countess) de CASTILE; her maternal grandparents were PHILIP IV KING de FRANCE and JOAN (Jeanne) de CHAMPAGNE. She had two brothers and a sister, named EDWARD III KING, John de Eltham and Joan de Tower.  She was the second youngest of the four children.  She died at the age of 36 on April 22nd, 1355 in Deventer.1

‌Eleanor and Rainald II Duke were married in a religious ceremony in May 1332 in Nijmegen.1
