John de Comyn 
John was born about 1146 in Altrye, Morayshire, Scotland.1 John's father was RICHARD de COMYN and his mother was HEXTILDA de TYNEDALE. His paternal grandparents were WILLIAM de COMYN and MAUD BASSET; his maternal grandparents were HUCTRED de TYNEDALE and BETHOE DAME de SCOTLAND. He had four brothers and a sister, named Odo (Odinell), Simon, David, WILLIAM and Idonea. He was the oldest of the six children. He had a half-brother named HENRY EARL. He died before 1159.1 -
