IEUAN's father was GRUFFYDD GETHIN ap MADOG and his mother was JOAN verch RHUN.  His paternal grandparents were MADOG ap MEURIG and GWLADUS verch GRUFFYDD GOEG.  He was an only child.

They had a son named MATHEW.
