His paternal grandparents were John\Jonas Wilson and Nacy Love. He had four brothers and four sisters, named James Madison, Henry Franklin, James Pinkerton, John Pennington, Mary Virginia, J. E., Lula A. and Martha Ada. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 56 on December 8th, 1919 in Union Parish, LA. He was buried in Mt. Nebo Methodist Ch.
