Daniel James Thompson 
Daniel James was born on April 23rd, 1825 in Abbeville Co., SC.1 Daniel James' father was James W. Thompson and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Carmichael. His paternal grandparents were Robert Thompson and Jane Boye; his maternal grandparents were Arthur Carmichael and Frances Bell. He had three brothers and a sister, named William H., Arthur, James W. and Francis Elizabeth. He was the third oldest of the five children.
