Giles Smith Summerlin 
Giles Smith was born on August 10th, 1869 in Crenshaw Co., AL.1 Giles Smith's father was Columbus M. Summerlin and his mother was Evaline Miller. His paternal grandparents were Smith Summerlin and Martha A. Spradley. He had two brothers and a sister, named Wright, Howard and Carrie. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 71 on May 17th, 1941 in Thorndale, Milam Co., TX. He was buried in Municipal Cemetery.1 1 General Notes
