Michael Monroe Stough 
Michael Monroe was born on January 24th, 1831 in Cabarrus Co., NC.1 Michael Monroe's father was Simeon Thomas Stough and his mother was Matilda Petrey. His maternal grandfather was William Petery. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Robert Washington, John B., Daniel Jackson, Simeon Calhoun, George Wesley, Susan Elizabeth, Martha Matilda, Sarah Ann, Adeline and Frances Jane. He was the third oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 46 on September 30th, 1877 in Crenshaw Co., AL.
