Ruth Almead was born on November 7th, 1906 in Camden, Kershaw Co., SC.1 Ruth Almead's father was Thomas James Spradley and her mother was Bessie Bulah Barnes. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Albert Spradley and Marguerite Elizabeth Smith. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Alfred James, Lawrence Wilson, James Thomas, Anna Matilda, Carrie Ella, Lillie Victoria and Bulah Bessie. Ruth Almead Spradley (my grandmother) was born November 7, 1906 in
Camden, Kershaw County, SC. She is still living and will turn 96
November of this year. She still lives by herself (a very independent
lady). She was married to Jack Henry Houser, Sr. (my grandfather), who
