Living's father was Gillis Lloyd Spradley and her mother was Anna Belle Lucile Stewart. Her paternal grandparents were John Ernest Spradley and Lula Florence Ponton; her maternal grandparents were James Robert Stewart and Mary Lucille Darden. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Living, Living, Living, Living, Linda Ann, Living, Living and Living.-
