Carrie Missouri Spradley 
Carrie Missouri was born on October 20th, 1886 in Pike Co., AL.1 Carrie Missouri's father was Stephen Anderson Spradley and her mother was Avarilla Cathrine Castellaw. Her paternal grandparents were James Stephen Spradley and Julia Boone; her maternal grandparents were Benjamin Franklin Castellaw and Mary Louisa Jordan. She had a brother and four sisters, named John Kirby Smith, Ella Melissa, Mary Julia, Sarah Frances and Ada Lee. She was the second youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 86 in January 1973 in Montgomery, Montgomery Co., AL. She was buried in Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery, Shellhorn, Pike Co., AL..1 1 General Notes

The following were from a newspaper clippings given to me, Ron Bridges,
by Gertrude P. Parnell via the mail on August 20, 1996.
COLL, Mrs. Carrie S. a resident of Montgomery for 5 years, died in a
local hospital Saturday at 2 p.m. after an extended illness. Funeral
services were 11 a.m. Monday from St. John's Episcopal Church with the
Rev. Charles Douglas officiating. Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery,
near Troy. Surivors include one daughter, Mrs. Doris Serett, Denham
Springs, La; one sister, Mrs Ada Lee Porath, Montgomery; three
grandchildren, Ben Segrest, Lafayette, Ala., Mrs. Ed Brenner, McLean,
Va., and Mrs. Jane Hamilton, Denham Springs, Va.
COLL, Mrs. Carrie S. Services were held from St. Johns Episcopal Church
Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Charles Douglas officiating. Burial was in
Antioch Cemetery near Troy, Ala., White Chapel Directing. Pallbears were
T. A. Parnell, Drue Lackey, Tommy Ivey, Jack Hamilton, David Porath and
Thomas Parnell.
