Mrs. Nancy Rhodes of Live Oak Community died last week and was buried in
Live Oak Cemetery. Deceased leaves surviving her husband, John D. Rhodes,
three daughters, Mrs. John Spardley, and Misses Pearl and Lola Rhodes and
two sisters Mrs. Jane Fowler and Mrs. Sophronia Shows. She was a member
of the Methodist church. (The Luverne Journal-October 22, 1914)
‌Nancy L. and John D. were married in a religious ceremony on October 31st, 1867 in Crenshaw Co., AL.1 They had four daughters named Alice Valula, Mary Corinne, Lola and Pearl.
