William Sears 
William was born about 1806 in NC.1 William's father was Joseph S. Sears and his mother was Elizabeth Searles. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Sears and Elizabeth (?); his maternal grandparents were Thomas Searles and Elizabeth (?). He had six brothers and a sister, named Wyatt, Vincent, Anderson, Alfred F., Bishop Harrison, John A. and Frances. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died on April 22nd, 1848 in Talbot Co., GA.1 General Notes
