Susannah Rushing 
Susannah was born on November 25th, 1842 in Pike Co., AL.1 Susannah's father was William Cain Rushing and her mother was Mary Ann Rushing. Her paternal grandparents were Mathew Malachi Rushing and Elizabeth Thornhill. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named Mathew M. (Mack), John Eager Howard, Thomas A., Joseph T., Solomon James, Stephen McDonald, Henry Oscar, Elizabeth Pheebe, Mary Jane, Lucinda S. and Pleasant F.. She was the fifth youngest of the twelve children. She had two half-sisters named Elizabeth and Minnie. She died in ?.1 General Notes

She was not dead in 1860 as she was enumerated in the household of her
parents in Pike County then (1860 census, page 51, Troy, Alabama). A
marriage record for her has not been found, so she may have died between
1860 and 1870, but no burial record for her in Pike County has been found.
