Charles Thomas was born on March 28th, 1879 in Tidwell Prairie, TX.1 Charles Thomas' father was Zebulon Thomas Rushing and his mother was Josephine Emily Yarberry. His paternal grandparents were Oliver Hazard Perry Rushing and Irene E. Weaver; his maternal grandparents were William Frank Yarberry and Nancy Ann Dodd. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Oliver Franklin, William Jackson, Oby Zeb, Arthur Louis, Joe Roy, Guy Townsend, Exer Emily, Minneola, Elsja V., Estelle and Ethel Mary. He was the second oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 71 on October 31st, 1950 in Calvert, Robertson Co., TX. He was buried in Sunnyside Cemetery, Calvert, Robertson Co., AL.1 1 -
