Martha Ann was born on November 23rd, 1820 in Troy, Pike Co., AL.1 Martha Ann's father was Jesse* Pugh and her mother was Lydia* Sims. Her paternal grandfather was Willoughby* Pugh; her maternal grandparents were Zachariah* Sims and Elizabeth* Graves. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Mastin B., Ira, Burrell B., Albert Downing, Lewis Harrison, Jesse C., Melinda, Elizabeth, Mary Ann Polly, Mary* Ann "Polly" and Adaline. She was the second youngest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 83 on November 11th, 1904 in Troy, Pike Co., AL.1 -
