Her paternal grandparents were John McBride, Jr. Miller and Martha Ann Logan; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Bloomfield Jones and Marha Ann Frances Teel. She had two brothers and a sister, named John Thomas, Jr., Richard Columbus and Vera B.. She was the oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 85 on August 2nd, 1983 in El Paso, TX.
