Her paternal grandparents were Francis Marion McEwen and Lena Olive Ransome Melton; her maternal grandparents were William Thomas Jefferson, Jr. Bazemore and Eliza Ann Veasey. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Marion Jack, Charles Kirkham, Carl William, Sadie Lee, Ettie Pricilla, Robbie Oresta, Annie Olive and Edna Gertrude. She was the third youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 2 on October 10th, 1901 in Coosa Co., AL. She was buried in Weogufka Methodist Cemetery , Coosa Co., AL.1 1 -
