Lydia Sophronia was born on July 4th, 1853 in Lehi, Utah Co., Utah.1 Lydia Sophronia's father was Jesse Bigler Martin and her mother was Sophronia Moore. She was an only child. She died at the age of 88 on August 10th, 1941 in Provo, Utah Co., Utah.1 
Lydia Sophronia and Orson were married in a religious ceremony on June 4th, 1875 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah.1 They had five sons and five daughters, named Walter Orson, John Glendon, Leland Jesse, Roland Van, Hollis Martin, Edna Isabella, Ida Henrietta, Alice Marintha, Flora Elizabeth and Luella Sophronia.
