Marthabea E. was born in 1824 in Wetumpka, Coosa Co., AL.1 Marthabea E.'s father was Henry Logan and her mother was Martha Ann George. Her paternal grandparents were David Logan and Hannah (?). She had three brothers and four sisters, named William, Ellis, Bloomfield, Mary Ann, Malinda, Mahala and Elizabeth Ann. She was the third youngest of the eight children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Samuel Houston, Martha Missouri and Lou Annie. She died at the age of 66 in 1890 in Montgomery, Grant Parish, LA.1 General Notes
