John Arron Logan 
John Arron was born on November 18th, 1834 in Socapatoy, Coosa Co., AL.1 John Arron's father was H. Alexander Logan and his mother was Martha Ann Smith. His paternal grandparents were James Ellis M. Logan and Mary (?); his maternal grandparents were James Alfred Smith and Hannah Parker. He had a brother and five sisters, named James Alexander, Elizabeth Jane, Mary, Nancy, Martha Ann and Elvonea V.. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He had six half-brothers and three half-sisters, named William Lyons Yancy, Joseph Atison, John Henry, Sr., Neal Archibald, Jefferson Alabama, Henry Alexander, Sarah Isabella, Malinda Francis and Tabitha Ann. "Alexander Logan lived till a few years back in the lower part of the
neighborhood, reaching a ripe age. Two sons, John and James, lived to be
men of ripe years in the community, and other children and descendants
