Mary Hill was born on July 24th, 1869 in Walker Co., TX.1 Mary Hill's father was Dixon Hall II Lewis and her mother was Sarah Ann Hill. Her paternal grandparents were Dixon Hall Lewis and Susan Elizabeth Elmore; her maternal grandparents were John Hill and Sarah Taylor. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Hamlin Freeman, John Hill, Dixon Hall III, Sarah Elmore, Laura S. and Claride B.. She was the fourth oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 42 on August 1st, 1911 in TX. She was buried in Old Waverly Cemetery, Walker Co., TX.1 1 -
