Albert Devotie was born about 1830 in Madison Co., AL.1 Albert Devotie's father was Daniel A. Ledbetter and his mother was Harriett Buford. His paternal grandparents were Joel Ledbetter and Catherine Brazelton; his maternal grandparents were William Henry, Jr. Buford and Jane D. Sherman. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Pascal E., John H., William M. M., Reuben Bonburant, Daniel Littleberry Woodville, Sarah Hannah, Elizabeth C. and Susan Mildred. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died in November 1859 in Robertson Co., TX.1 -
